Kate Walbert
Kate Walbert (born in New York City[1]) is an American writer. She lives in New York with her family.
Walbert received her MA in English from New York University. She teaches creative writing at Yale University. Her debut was a collection of stories Where She Went (1998).[2][3]
Her latest novel is A Short History of Women (2009) and was received by the New York Times' critic with words: "Nearly everything about Kate Walbert’s new novel is wickedly smart, starting with the title."[4]
The Gardens of Kyoto (2001) is based on her award winning (Pushcart Prize and O. Henry Award) story with the same name.[3]
